ARDEX A 38 is engineered with advanced ‘RAPIDRY PLUS FORMULA’ Technology to deliver ultra-rapid drying floor screeds suitable for both internal and external applications. This specialized formulation enables the screed to be walked on just 3 hours after application, making it an excellent choice for projects that require quick turnaround times. The screed supports the installation of ceramic and natural stone tiles as soon as 4 hours post-application, regardless of tile thickness, facilitating speedy tiling workflows. For resilient floor coverings such as carpet, vinyl, and wood, ARDEX A 38 provides a workable surface in just 48 hours, irrespective of the material’s thickness. In addition to its rapid drying capabilities, ARDEX A 38 quickly gains strength, passing the BRE Screed (ISCR) Test within 6 hours and achieving higher compressive and tensile bending strengths than traditional cement screeds after just one day, surpassing the standards typically reached by ordinary screeds after 28 days.

Storage and Shelf Life ARDEX A 38 includes a reducing agent to manage Chromium VI levels when mixed. To ensure its effectiveness, store ARDEX A 38 in unopened packaging, elevated from the ground, in a cool, dry environment, and protected from excessive drafts. If stored correctly, the product will remain effective for up to 12 months from the date on the packaging. During this period, when mixed with water, the product will contain no more than 0.0002% (2 ppm) soluble Chromium VI of the total dry weight of the cement content. Using the product beyond this shelf life may increase the risk of allergic reactions.
